I’m Jade, the owner of BTAN, and I believe that everyone has a unique story to share –  so the first thing I do is make it a point to sit down with my clients before, during, and after procedures or treatments to listen to their stories…It’s not just a job for me, it’s a part of who I am and what I want my business to reflect. So, it’s only fair that you get to know a little about me too.

 

I have lived in Orpington my entire life, and after finishing school, I started working in retail. Later on, I had various roles in nightclub events and the beauty industry.

 

I then ventured into running my own cleaning business for a while.

 

These were all great experiences but my desire to nurture and support others has always been in me as a person, and after seeing the amazing round the clock care a beloved family member received during their final months, I decided to dedicate my time, effort, and passion to pursue and get my BSc Nursing degree.

 

I’ve always been very driven and eager to learn a whole host of different skills to enhance and further my career, with my nursing background and my expanding knowledge of the beauty industry, aesthetics appealed to me, its not just about beauty its about making people feel better about themselves,  we all have insecurities that sometimes it can take its toll on how we see ourselves and our daily lives, and with small procedures or enhancements I watched many of my clients arrive with uncertainty and after treatments had been completed leave with confidence and a smile, and honestly, it means so much to me to be able to give someone that transformation.  

 

Throughout all of this, I feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing support system, my husband, mum, and best friend have all pitched in with taking care of the children, while I was studying to become a nurse. 

 

Their help and continued support has carried on throughout my journey and I am so grateful.

 

Now that my children are older I believe it’s important to demonstrate a strong work ethic to them, and show them that as a strong supportive family we will always be there to help each other achieve our goals.

 

I’ve been asked, what inspires me to work so hard, there are so many things, I guess it’s the same as most people, being able to provide my children with the things and opportunities I didn’t have when I was younger, going on nice family holidays, and even the simple things like being able have that quality time at home as a family.

 

My work inspiration lies in the moments when a patient holds my hand or when a client’s face beams with happiness when they see their desired outcome, it gives me the incentive to be the absolute best at what I do and continue to hit and exceed my targets.

 

 BTAN is a business that is run by a family and focuses on family values. We welcome individuals of all ages, races, and backgrounds.

 

Our salon is child friendly and over the past 19 months, our clients have become extended family to us, sometimes people just want 10 minutes to forget the world and worries, have a cuppa and see a friendly face and we are here for that,

 

We offer a friendly, relaxed, peaceful, and inviting atmosphere to everyone, where you can be yourself!

 

BTAN is more than a salon It’s a little growing community, and without each and every one of them I would not be where I am today, and for that I am eternally grateful.

BTAN training academy launches September 2024!

 

I will Keep working hard to make sure I continuously grow and evolve, both personally and as a business owner, in order to achieve success in my goals.

 

And maybe some day, another salon, there are endless possibilities and I intend to take full advantage of them all so stay in touch for exciting updates!
